How to transport super large cargo in international shipping

1. Truck. PCTC (purecar truck carrier) is used in the transportation of trucks. Its main feature is that it adopts single deck (generally between 3 and 4 meters in height) and can accommodate large trucks in the cabin. The maximum carrying capacity of the ship's stern jump can reach 45 tons, and the carrying capacity per square meter can reach 3 tons. Therefore, overweight trucks can be allowed to enter the cabin through the stern jump of the ship.

2. Large equipment. Generally speaking, the transportation of large-scale equipment is relatively complex. Some parts are large in volume and tonnage, so general container transportation cannot be adopted, while some spare parts can be transported in containers. At present, this kind of equipment generally adopts RORO and container, which can load large parts and containers at the same time, so it is the ideal ship type for many large equipment transportation. So which loading and unloading equipment is more reasonable for this ship type?

This kind of equipment is suitable for large parts with length less than 4 meters and weight less than 28 tons. The goods are lifted to the flat plate by the crane, the lifting height is not more than one meter (it can avoid the goods damage caused by swinging and overturning during the lifting process), and then the goods are fixed on the flat plate by special nylon belt (its rigidity is equal to the steel wire rope, but it can greatly reduce the wear of the goods surface relative to the steel wire rope) or steel wire rope with gasket, and the goods are passed by forklift The ship jumped aft to carry the cargo into the hold.

Rolltrailer is suitable for the transportation of overweight and oversized goods. Theoretically, it can carry 25 meters long and 120 tons of goods. However, due to the limitation of the carrying capacity of tail jump and towing head, the actual carrying capacity will be smaller. Rolltrailer is transported into the cabin by self acting tug through ship's tail jump, which can realize zero damage of cargo.

3. Train carriage. Because the train trunk is long, 40 meters long, so the general rolltrail transport will be due to hatch restrictions, the body can not be rotated into the cabin. Special designed railers (special tire bogies) can solve this problem. The tires of the equipment can rotate 360 degrees and can be transported into the cabin by turning around when the ship jumps into the cabin.
